You know what you ‘should’ be eating, so you start the week strong. Perhaps you even spend your Sunday afternoon prepping some meals for the week.
You’re excited, motivated, committed, and confident that if you keep this up for a few days the pounds will start to melt off. Let’s goooooo!
But then mid-week comes around and the kids have been crazy, your husband has been busy with work, and your mother-in-law is coming over on Saturday. Eeeeek!
You’re stressed, frazzled, and frankly, you just don’t have the time or desire to eat ‘right’.
So, you grab something easy and comforting and tell yourself you’ll do better tomorrow.
But what happens when you don’t do ‘better’? And the next thing you know, it’s Saturday and you’ve eaten pizza, pancakes, and wine for the past four days? #truestory
Instead of beating yourself up about it or vowing to start over next week, why don’t you just plan those much-needed easy comfort meals? You know, so you can actually enjoy them without the guilt?
Healthy nutrition isn’t an all or nothing thing. You can eat your leafy greens and enjoy wine and cookies too!
Choose something that works for you and you’ll stick to it longer. Life shouldn’t be about restriction or feeling guilty when you give in to a craving.
Take a more realistic approach and work your favorite foods in with your healthy choices to find a balance that helps you reach your goals and maintain your sanity.
Trust me, your waistline (and your sanity) will thank you!
What’s your biggest struggle when it comes to finding balance?
